⚠️ THE SITUATION ⚠️

Island House — for decades, a crown jewel. A place of memory, of family, of summers that seemed like they would never end.

It is now also a place where:

🔥 The air conditioning is not working. This is being looked into.

💀 The floor ducts are deteriorating. This was described as "the least of your concerns," which in retrospect we should have asked more questions about.

💥 The pool cage is — and this is the correct technical term — "popping out." We are not entirely sure what this means but the professional who said it looked concerned.

⚡ The floor in one of the bedrooms is collapsing. Not collapsed. Collapsing. There is a difference and we are choosing to focus on that.

💀💀 The cast iron sewer pipe has a crack. There is greywater under the house. We did not ask how much greywater. We are not going to ask how much greywater.

Island House now faces its greatest threat yet: someone with good judgment making a reasonable financial decision.

We cannot allow this.

To raise the funds necessary to prevent this sensible outcome, I — Michael — am organizing:

We have a website. We have flyers. We are still working on the bands. Tickets are available.
